BREEAM UK Refurbishment and Fit-Out - your chance to comment

After two years of extensive industry consultation, development and piloting, the draft 2014 version of the BREEAM UK Refurbishment and Fit-Out scheme has now been published. The closing date for comments is 29 August. Read more

ETV scheme due for launch

BRE Global’s Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) scheme will be officially launched shortly, pending completion of its UKAS accreditation process. The scheme will offer a recognised route for eco-innovators to get independent confirmation of new technology performance.  Read more

eTool’s life cycle assessment (LCA) app to become IMPACT compliant

Building LCA software provider eTool is integrating BRE’s LCA method IMPACT into its web-based building LCA app, eToolLCD. This will enable users to assess the embodied carbon and other impacts of their buildings. Read more

One BREEAM credit awarded to qualified and registered site sustainability managers

The BREEAM UK New construction 2014 scheme has introduced a BREEAM credit for using a qualified and registered BRE Academy site sustainability manager (SSM) on building projects. Read more

A BREEAM first in Beijing

BRE and China’s quality certification body, CQC, delivered the first Chinese BREEAM assessor and BREEAM accredited professional training course at the CQC headquarters in Beijing in July. Read more
