William Thompson & Son (Dumbarton) Limited Group is a fourth generation family business which has operated quarries and landfill sites for over 75 years. Subsidiary Thompson Recycling and Landfill Limited operates a manufacturing facility for recycled aggregate. Currently in Scotland around 25% of the demand for aggregates has been met using recycled products and that number is rising as environmental concerns increase and construction budgets tighten. Inert waste is processed through our facility to produce high specification recycled aggregates and sands. Not only do we recycle incoming inert material from customer construction sites, we also excavate and recycle materials previously deposited in our landfill site. Our innovative approach to our recycling business benefits our customers, the wider community and the environment.
