ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Certification

This scheme provides ongoing independent, third party assessment and certification of environmental management systems.

The assessment activities are conducted in two parts (Stage 1 and Stage 2), and are based on the requirements of International Standard BS EN ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Systems - Specification with guidance for use.

The Stage 1 assessment is an assessment of the documented environmental management system to ensure that it meets the requirements of ISO 14001.

The Stage 2 assessment is a full assessment to confirm that:

• The organisation adheres to its own policies, objectives, and procedures;
• Implementation of the environmental management system conforms with all the requirements of ISO 14001 and is achieving the environmental policy and objectives.
