Ethical Labour Sourcing (ELS) Verification Scheme

The Ethical Labour Sourcing (ELS) Verification Scheme has been established to provide assurance that organisations have made a measurable commitment to manage ethical labour sourcing challenges in their company and supply chains.

The scheme aims to encourage better ethical labour sourcing practices through an evaluation of a set of maturity levels by complying with BRE Global’s Ethical Labour Sourcing Standard (BES 6002).

The ELS Standard provides a framework for verifying ethical labour sourcing, and a route for companies to verify their systems and processes, including the reporting requirements of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, Section 54 Transparency in Supply Chains (TISC).

The scheme provides confidence that labour services are being ethically sourced by providing ongoing independent, third-party assessment and verification of organisations within the construction value chain demonstrating that they have met the baseline requirements for the ELS.
