One Planet Products

One Planet Products is a membership-only bulk buying initiative, working with partners within the construction and refurbishment industries (primarily in the residential sector), to make it easier and more cost-effective for housing associations and developers to specify high quality, sustainable building products and materials.

One Planet Products has been established in order to provide its members a mechanism through which they will be able to purchase environmental products and materials, and access price discounts which have been negotiated between One Planet Products and product suppliers.

One Planet Products provides its members with:

• Easy access to sustainable building products
• Discounted prices for sustainable products and materials from vetted suppliers
• Advice on meeting Eco-Homes build standards (by providing the associated EcoHomes points alongside each product)
• The opportunity to incorporate sustainable products into the supply chain
• Reports of water and energy saved through the purchasing and installing of listed products and materials compared to using the mainstream alternative
• A forum for knowledge-sharing and information dissemination among members, suppliers and other industry bodies about existing and new environmental products and services

By encouraging the use of low-energy materials, innovative resource-saving devices and high quality construction methods, One Planet Products aims to help its members reduce the environmental impact of the UK housing stock. By making such products more affordable and publicising the long term savings that can be made by investing in their installation, One Planet Products encourages more sustainable living while also improving quality of life for residents.

Our members consist of housing associations, private developers and contractors engaged in residential building and refurbishment work in the UK.

One Planet Product suppliers are businesses which manufacture and/or distribute products and materials which have demonstrable environmental benefits, and are applicable for use in the residential construction and refurbishment industries. Our suppliers recognise the bulk purchasing capability of the One Planet Products group and are prepared to offer club members a price and service commitment commensurate with this.

Our suppliers cover many areas of sustainable building, from domestic solar energy solutions and water-saving devices to sustainable building materials and insulation products. All have either regional or national supply capability, and demonstrate a clear commitment to sustainability.
