Following a report (BBC News) from the Asbestos Training and Consultancy Association which has highlighted that some British schools are failing to meet a legal duty to protect their staff and pupils from asbestos, BRE Training has increased the opportunity for delegates to take part in their course: ‘The Duty to Manage Asbestos Containing Materials in Non-Domestic Premises' to provide detailed information, guidance and compliance with ‘Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006'.

The report observed that 75% of Britain's schools are thought to contain asbestos and 178 teachers are known to have died from asbestos-related illnesses.  The BRE Training course will provide a good understanding of the health effects of exposure to asbestos, the risks of exposure in the built environment and how to implement a management plan to comply with the law.
