Property Professionals/HIT candidates: UPDATE

Administrators

ABBE has advised us this morning to advise that the administrators are aware of their responsibilities regarding ownership of the portfolios they are holding and they hope to make an announcement shortly with details of how candidates can collect them.

Finance

Remember, if you arranged any finance or used a credit card to pay for training and assessment, you should contact the finance provider urgently as they may be able to assist with recovery of losses.

Home Inspector Candidates

Home inspection candidates should contact RPSA (info@fpip.org.uk ) who were established specifically to support Home Inspectors and they are currently looking at ways forward.

Confirmation of status with ABBE

As previously advised you should contact the Awarding Body (ABBE) on abbeenquiries@bcu.ac.uk  to obtain confirmation that you are both registered with ABBE and specifically which qualifications you are registered for and any details of Certificates issued and exams passed.

Candidates wishing to transfer to BRE

BRE Training currently offers training and assessment for the ABBE Diplomas in Domestic and Non-domestic energy assessment; we are also providing assessment for the ABBE Diploma in Home Inspection. We are currently preparing transfer options to meet the range of circumstances and will advise these shortly. In the meantime please register with us by email at energyassessor@bre.co.uk with the following information:

• Name and address
• Contact telephone number
• Email address
• Qualification(s) being undertaken
• Have you got your portfolio?
• Are you registered with ABBE?
• Stage of completion of the qualification ie how much of the training have you completed and what stage of assessment are you at
• Have you passed the ABBE exam?
